Keeping connected: telecoms joins the Invictus story
16 August 2017
Think of how often an ordinary day depends on being able to make a call. A missed conversation can delay a delivery, hold up a business decision or leave someone wondering how to get help.
By 2017, telecommunications had become part of the Invictus story. It was a different kind of specialist service, built around something people rely on constantly but rarely think about when it works.
When a connection matters
In those days, many homes and businesses still depended heavily on traditional landlines. A dead line or a patchy connection was not just irritating; it could make everyday tasks surprisingly difficult.
Helping people understand communications services meant talking about real needs, not simply technical specifications. What will work? Who can help when something goes wrong? What is the right starting point?
Telecoms gave Invictus another area in which those questions mattered.
The world has moved on
The way people communicate has changed enormously. Calls increasingly travel over broadband connections, and workplaces rely on a mix of mobile, internet and cloud-based tools.
The technology is different, but the underlying need is familiar: people want to stay in touch and know where to turn when they cannot.
That chapter continues within the group through In Telecoms. It is one part of a much broader story, but one that still feels relevant every time a phone rings or a connection drops.
See where it fits in the Invictus timeline.
