The people who make a community event possible

2026

By the time families arrive at a free festival, much of the hard work has already happened. Stalls have been set out, performers are getting ready and volunteers are answering the same questions for the hundredth time.

For Bedworth Party in the Park, all of that helps turn an ordinary recreation ground into a place for people to spend a day together.

More than what happens on stage

The event brings together local performers, food and craft traders, charities and families. There are opportunities to enjoy entertainment, discover community groups and spend time outdoors without paying an admission fee.

Behind that experience is a team of organisers and volunteers. During the 2026 event, around 180 volunteer hours were recorded, alongside a further 50 hours from the organiser. Those figures give a glimpse of the time contributed to keeping the event free.

Why it belongs in the Invictus story

Invictus has roots in Warwickshire, and its community connections include Bedworth Party in the Park. That does not mean every part of the festival is an Invictus achievement. The event is made possible by many people and organisations, each contributing in different ways.

What matters is the connection: businesses exist in communities, not apart from them, and local events are shaped by the people willing to help.

The Community & Projects section explores this side of Invictus, while Our History puts it alongside the group's business chapters.
